Terms of use
Last updated October 15, 2026
Paf lets you make a website by talking, publish it and, if you like, buy it its own address (a domain name). These terms apply to the app and to this service. By using Paf, you accept them.
The app itself is licensed to you under Apple’s standard license (Licensed Application End User License Agreement). These terms add to it. Any question: aide@paf.live.
The service
- No account, no password. The app recognizes you by an anonymous identifier kept on your iPhone. Add your email (in the app, Account › Email) to find your sites on another phone: without it, losing your phone can mean losing your sites.
- The free trial includes a first page and 3 edits, per phone.
- Your sites are published for free on a
.paf.liveaddress, and stay online until you delete them. - We do our best to keep Paf and the published sites available, but cannot guarantee it at all times. We may change the service.
Credits
- Requests to the agent use credits, bought in the app through the App Store. The cost of each request is shown in the app.
- Credits do not expire. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to someone else.
- Apple collects the payment. Refunds are requested from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), under its rules; a refunded purchase removes the matching credits.
What you publish
- You are responsible for the content of your sites: texts, photos, information about other people. Only publish what you have the right to publish.
- Forbidden: illegal, hateful or violent content, sexual content involving minors, impersonation, phishing and scams, malware, and anything that infringes the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, privacy).
- Every published site has a “Report” link. We may take down a site that breaks these rules and, for serious or repeated abuse, end access to Paf.
- The texts and images the agent makes for your site are yours; photos from the free Pixabay library remain under its license.
Domains
Your site can have its own address in two ways: by connecting a domain name you already have, or by buying one in the app.
Connecting a domain you already have
- It is free. You must own the domain, or be authorized by its owner to connect it. It stays with your current provider, which you keep paying for its renewal: Paf does not renew it.
- At OVH, Paf makes the changes for you: you sign in to your account on OVH’s page and authorize Paf, only on that domain’s DNS zone (not your email, not your bills). You can withdraw this authorization at any time from your OVH account. With another provider, the app shows you the lines to add, and you add them yourself.
- Paf only touches three lines: the
wwwone and the A and AAAA lines of the bare domain. Your email is never changed. The padlock (HTTPS) is provided automatically. - The site stays online at that address as long as these lines are in place and the domain is active. If they are changed, or if the domain expires, your site goes back to its
.paf.liveaddress. - Disconnecting puts your site back on its
.paf.liveaddress. The lines added stay with your provider: you can remove them.
Buying a domain in the app
What you buy
- A
.fr,.comor.orgdomain name, registered in your name (or your business’s or association’s), connected to your site and secured with the padlock (HTTPS), with nothing to set up. - A one-year subscription, renewed automatically, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase (€29.99 a year in France), paid through your Apple account.
Registration with OVH
- The domain is registered with OVH (OVH SAS, Roubaix, France), an accredited registrar. By confirming the “Check” screen, you confirm that the owner’s details are accurate and that you may act for the owner, and you authorize Paf to register the domain in the owner’s name and manage its technical settings.
- The owner must be an adult. A
.fris reserved for people and organizations established in the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland. - The owner also accepts the rules of the chosen extension: AFNIC’s for
.fr, ICANN’s and the registry’s for.comand.org, and OVH’s terms that apply to domain owners. - OVH emails the owner to confirm their address. Without confirmation within 15 days, the domain may be suspended. Paf reminds you in the app until it is done.
- Paf only offers ordinary names that are available. A name may be taken between your search and the order, or a registration may fail: you are not charged twice, and you can pick another name with the same subscription, or ask Apple for a refund.
Renewing, cancelling
- Renewal is managed in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions (“Paf domain”). You can turn it off up to 24 hours before it renews.
- Without renewal, the domain stays connected until the end of the paid year. Then your site goes back to its
.paf.liveaddress and the domain is not renewed: someone else may then register it. - A refund granted by Apple ends the domain at once: your site goes back to its
.paf.liveaddress. - Deleting your site or your data in Paf does not stop the Apple subscription: remember to cancel it.
Leaving with your domain
The domain is in your name: you can transfer it to another registrar. Write to us at aide@paf.live from the app (Help and privacy › Contact us) and we will send you its transfer code. Then remember to cancel the subscription.
Liability
Paf is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages (loss of revenue, customers or data) related to using the service, to an interruption, or to content published by users. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes
If these terms change, we update this page and its date. For a significant change affecting domains or credits, we let you know in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If we disagree, please write to us first at aide@paf.live: we will look for a solution together. You may also use a consumer mediator free of charge, or go to the competent courts.
